My video artwork is about language, politics and process.  The character in my videos is an everyman that I have depicted in nefarious, humorous, absurd, pathetic and questionable situations.  Formally, my video is object-based.  I use symmetry and looping in my work as a structural limitation and as a metaphor for, or an analysis of, the political condition. These works are collaged images using multiple video and photographic elements.  Like the endurance videos of the 1970’s, many of my videos include repetitive action.  Unlike these older videos, the action I use is narrative and theatrical.  The theatricality and narrative refer to an existential condition that is a result of our own constructed cultural framework.   I also use repetition.  This is to reflect mass production and conformity as well as to further define and complicate the imagery.   I want my videos to be humorous, anxious, continuous and dramatic.
